Item Details

●"The Great Wave off Kanagawa", a masterpiece by the renowned Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai, is boldly depicted using a traditional Japanese craft, creating a brand new world.
This Edo Kiriko glass depicts Mt. Fuji in the distance and a big blue wave that seems like it will swallow up a boat any minute.

●In "lapis lazuli (blue)", a classic Edo Kiriko color.

●This Edo Kiriko glass is produced by the magazine "Waraku", which brings us information on Japanese culture in various forms, in collaboration with "TOKYO Teshigoto", a project which creates new, modern traditional Tokyo crafts and delivers their charm both inside and outside of Japan.
This item is made by "Shimizu Glass", who have inherited the tradition of Edo Kiriko. Each of these hand-made glasses is wholeheartedly cut one by one at the skilled hands of artisans.

A long-established Edo Kiriko store led by a skilled craftsman who is over 80 years old and young artisans with flexible thinking.
