A superb view of Toyama on a sake cup. Produced using 100% tin based on skills developed from the processing techniques of "casting", a traditional industry of Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture. It has been traditionally said "water won't go bad if it's in a tin bowl" or "tin can get rid of an unpleasant flavor" and so has been used for sake cups and teacups. Also, tin has good conductivity so, if you put this cup in the fridge for just 1-2 minutes, it will chill the drink inside, which makes it perfect for cold sake. You can also deliciously enjoy lukewarm sake. Usually other metals are added to tin to make it stronger, but Nousaku's tin isn't mixed with anything to fully bring out its characteristics. This sake cup that depicts a panorama of the Tateyama mountain range, a superb view found in Toyama, comes with a thin piece of paper that tells you which mountain is which. In 2 sizes - large and small.
